The Prevent duty, ‘extremism’ and ‘radicalisation’

On 8 August 2022, Prevent Digest shared a link to a Press TV link entitled “How Israel is Behind Forward Thinking” which falsely stated that that Forward Thinking and its director Oliver work for the British Intelligence to advance an Israeli agenda. Prevent Digest is a platform by which a variety of articles are circulated but that this is not synonymous with support or endorsement of their content.  Indeed, Dr Faure Walker does not agree with the views expressed in many of the large number of articles that have been shared via the Prevent Digest newsletter since 2015, including the article that Mr McTernan is concerned by. However, for the avoidance of doubt, Prevent Digest has removed the article complained of from its website and apologises unreservedly to Forward Thinking and Mr McTernan.
